RE-ELECT LT FRANK MUSISI FOR UNAA PRESIDENT 2009-11Lt. Frank Msisi UNAA 2009 Presidential Candidate

Dear fellow Ugandans:

It gives me great pleasure once again to announce my CANDIDACY for RE-ELECTIONas the UNAA PRESIDENT for the year 2009-11 in Chicago, Illinois during the upcoming 21st Annual Convention.

I will continue with my message of "Change", UNAA's "Independence", "Accountability" and "Transparency"- "Moving UNAA beyond Conventions". I will stand up against any outside interference and protect the sovereignty of the organization and its membership.

Over the last two years UNAA has focused on: Organizational process of our annual conventions, Establishment of UNAA Secretariat-Boston Headquarters, Immigration Advocacy; De-Politicize UNAA, Northern Uganda Conflict, Education and empowering of the UNAA local chapters. We are also working with cultural organizations like Ttabamiruka, Ggwanga Mujje, Basoga Twegaite and others to harmonize our general membership.

For the future, the following is what I regard to be A PACKAGE OF UNAA VISION:

Widening UNAA membership, Transforming UNAA into a financially self-sustaining organization, broadening the bridge between UNAA and Uganda, establishment of UNAA subscription magazine through our Secretariat and inaugurating UNAA online Job database bank. We will also be working towards expanding the UNAA Group Insurance.

I am also happy to announce that I have initiated a process that would see the establishment of U.S - Makerere Oncology Fellowship Training Program in Uganda. This is in addition to my own personal humanitarian services in the areas of HIV/AIDS that have been in place for the last three years

Finally, as I seek for your vote, I am happy to endorse, Mr. John Mutyaba of Minneapolis, Minnesota for UNAA Vice President, and Mr. William Ssenkumba of Los Angeles, California for UNAA Secretary General.

Re-ElectLt. Frank Musisi UNAA President 2009-20011

Thank you and May God bless you.

Sincerely,

Lt. Frank Musisi (U.S. Army)

President

In addition to setting world records in the ongoing 2008 Olympic games in Beijing, several African and Caribbean athletes are going home with Gold medals. For Jamaican Usain Bolt, using the term "Rocket-propelled" to describe his speed is an understatement! Usain Bolt struck the 2008 men's Olympic 100m race and broke his 9.72 seconds world record, setting a new world record for 100m in Beijing! The Jamaican sprinter "bolted" home in a record 9.69 seconds with little effort, after slowing down towards the finishing line and pounding his chest in a reassuring way for securing his easy gold medal win. He could easily have slammed the bar harder to 9.58 seconds had he not slowed down.
