Q: I can not hear anything when I click “Listen Now”.
A: For PC (Windows)
1. Place a CD in your CD/DVD Reader/writer and launch Windows Media Player (WMP) or a suitable player. If you hear sound in your speakers then your sound card is working. If your sound card works please proceed to step 3, otherwise go to step 2.
2. To check if your sound card is working properly : Right click “My Computer” on your desktop then click “manage” then double click “device manager” and the double click “sounds, video and game controllers”. If any of the devices is not working it will have an exclamation (!) mark. Update the drivers by using your installation CD or download one from the internet.
3. If the sound card is working (you heard the CD audio) but you cannot hear AfriRhythms sound, then you need a windows plugin that enables launch of the embedded Windows Media Player that we use. Usually the player will ask you to install the required microsoft plugin, until you have installed the microsoft plugin you may not hear the sound. The plugin is safe for your computer since it is authentic Microsoft software. Please allow installation of the plugin, restart your computer and try listening again! In the unlikely event, we may be experiencing server or other technical problems in which case, please try again later.
4. You my wish to perform a windows/microsoft update on your computer, install all the critical updates, restart your computer and try again.
5. You my wish to try using another internet browser like Mozilla Firefox, SeaMonkey.
6. If You have done all the above but still experiencing problems, please CONTACT US, we will help you troubleshoot the problem to enable you start enjoying our free service.

Q: Can I rewind or forward/skip a song?
A: No. AfriRhythms is like a regular FM station, the only difference is that AfriRhythms is internet based and can span the whole world at CD quality. But listening to the stream without buffering requires a Broadband/High speed internet connection.
Q: Can I listen to a particular a song?
A: Yes. Please login and make your request and/or dedication. The song will be added to "now playing" list. We normally respond to request in less than 30 minutes but it may take up to 2 hours. Requests are taken between 10am - 10pm EST. Please note that your request may be delayed if it does not fit the scheduled program at the time of your request. For instance if you request a South African song during the West African Connection, the request will be delayed until the show is over.

Q: What are the mission of AfriRhythms?
A: AfriRhythms is a community service project. Our aim is to entertain, to forster unity, promote African culture through music and create a platform where Africans in the Diaspora and those with interest in World /African music can listen to their favorite African and Caribbean artists. Please leave the music hunt to us, just relax and do the listening, after all it is FREE!
Q: Do I have to pay for AfriRhythms services?

Q: How about the money you generate from adverts?
A: Many of the adverts we run on our website are for cross promotion. The commercial adverts are based on sales commissions. If you do not support our sponsors by buying their products, they get free advertisement. There is no way AfriRhythms can generate revenue to keep online. If you buy, we earn a small commission and that enables us meet the costs to sustain the service.
Q: Do the websites you advertise for meet the online safety standards?
A: Yes! If unsure, please click the sites from our site we ensure that we connect you to our adverizers website that way your transactions are safe. All the websites we advertise for are reputable stores with security certificates like “VeriSign”, “Thwarte”, “Networks Solutions”. Ensure that the website uses https:// instead of http:// to transfer your credit card information during your check out process. That way you are sure your information is encrypted and cannot be read by a third party.
Q: Why should I buy online when I can go to the store.
